The European yellow-tailed scorpion (Tetratrichobothrius flavicaudis), formerly known as Euscorpius flavicaudis, is a small terrestrial scorpion native to southern Europe. A shy crevice-dweller, it often inhabits stone walls and harbours and feeds mainly on woodlice and small arthropods. This species is famously established in Britain’s Sheerness dockyard, where it has thrived for over a century in the UK’s mild coastal climate.
