Euscorpius tergestinus is a small midly venomous scorpion species (2–3 cm), commonly known as the Balkan Scorpion, belonging to the family Euscorpiidae. It is dark brown to black, native to southern Europe, and prefers moist, shaded habitats and can be found hugging cork bark in the wild.
